What the site does
Bow and Transom (marinamagazine.org, run by WeldonPC.com) lays out boat lettering and checks it against the federal rules named on each result. It is a layout aid. It is not legal advice, and it does not decide whether a boat complies: the state that numbers the boat, the Coast Guard and the law do.
Your responsibility
Check every size on the printed sheet before cutting or applying anything, and check your state's rules. We are not responsible for lettering cut or applied from a layout, or for fines or rework. Use the site lawfully; do not use it to display a number that is not your boat's.
Plans
During preview no payment is taken and paid features are free. When checkout opens: plans are PayPal subscriptions at the prices on the Pricing page, renewing monthly or yearly until you cancel in PayPal. A cancelled plan runs to the end of the paid period. Prices can change only for future periods, with notice on the site first.
Lettering Files
Anyone holding a file's private link can open, change or delete it. Keep the link private. Files not opened for 400 days and without a running plan are deleted.
Availability
We aim to keep the site up and correct but promise neither. We may change or end features; paid features will not be removed during a paid period without a pro-rata refund.
